Your skin produces a marijuana-like substance
A recent study found that the skin produces a marijuana-like substance which is essential for a healthy complexion.
Endocannabinoids help the sebaceous glands protect the skin from harsh elements, such as the wind and sun, and closely resemble the THC-infused cannabinoids that protect the leaves of the marijuana plant.
So can your skin get you high? "Theoretically yes," said the study's lead researcher. "But, while our skin is constantly pumping out its own type of hash, even if you chewed your arm to bits there isn't enough to have a psychological effect."
